Much Ado About Nothing

This February TSA will present William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. However, director Rosie Best has placed her own spin on the romantic comedy. Instead of Messina, Sicily Best has set the play in a 1920s traveling circus with the real action taking place off-stage behind the big top. In this setting Benedick is a lion tamer who is tricked into professing his love to Beatrice, a snake charmer. Hero, the bride to be, is an animal trainer and her father, Leonato, is the ringmaster instead of a nobleman. The period circus setting also gives an opportunity for unique costume and scenery designs and even some puppetry. Performances will be February 5-7 at 7:00 PM and February 8 at 2:30 PM. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for students and seniors. Call 419-246-8732 x226 to order tickets.

  1. Actually the Leonato is the original character, in our version Signora Leonata is the ring master.

Hope you come and see it. We're working hard to make it the best TSA Play yet!!
